Maya Zumstein-Shaha is Deputy Head of the Master of Science in Nursing programme at BFH, School of Health Professions. She teaches philosophy of science and supervises students in the Master's thesis seminar. She also supports students in developing their Master's theses. Her research focuses on the deployment of Advanced Practice Nurses in the Swiss healthcare system, particularly in primary care. She has also developed a nursing theory on the experience of people newly diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, and conducts research on questions of ethics in nursing.
