New Work

How can forms of work and organisation be designed so that people use technology instead of being driven by it? That people are welcomed in their diversity instead of having to pretend? And how can transformations be designed so that people can quickly and sustainably find their way in the new forms of work?

Companies must answer these questions convincingly if they want to attract rare skilled workers and move successfully in turbulent markets. The focus on New Work shows how the working world of the future can be designed to be sustainable, inclusive and resilient. In interdisciplinary teams and in close cooperation with partners from business, administration and research, we investigate and demonstrate how platform-based work, automation, AI and data management can be designed sustainably from the perspective of HRM, leadership, culture and change. How employers can value the diversity of employees, live inclusion and enable the compatibility of different lifestyles. And how people can develop and strengthen self-organisation and self-efficacy in new forms of work through (interpersonal) mindfulness and positive leadership.
