Why zebras are more sustainable than unicorns – a podcast episode about social entrepreneurship

Society needs the commitment of volunteers. Without them, for example, the Corona warning app would not have been launched so quickly at the beginning of the pandemic. And sometimes a non-profit solution even becomes a start-up company. Dr Kirsten Hillebrand talks about this in the 5th episode of the BFH Wirtschaft podcast “Lets Talk Business”.

She is an assistant professor at the Institute of Sustainable Business and not only explores social entrepreneurship, but also lives it herself. Together with her colleagues, she developed the app “Klimakarl” for sustainable behaviour in the workplace.

In the latest episode, Kirsten Hillebrand explains how doing without is fun, how we can use our data for charitable purposes and how companies can become greener. Because when it comes to sustainability, zebra companies clearly beat the “Unicorns”. Listen to more about social entrepreneurship in the latest episode of the BFH Wirtschaft  podcast “Let’s Talk Business”.

All episodes of Let’s Talk Business can be found on the BFH Wirtschaft website and also on Spotify, Deezer and Google Podcast.
